Peter E. Loeb, M.D. is a board-certified fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine with a focus on hip, knee and shoulder injuries as well as joint reconstruction and preservation. He also sees and treats many general orthopaedic injuries and complaints. He is certified as a CIME, certified medical exam practitioner. He is sought after to perform medical/ legal examinations and reviews
A native of Birmingham, Dr. Loeb moved here in 1991 after marrying Tallahassee native Cecilia Drew Loeb. He graduated from Northwestern University and completed medical school at University of Alabama Birmingham. He completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Completing tow fellowships at MIEMMS, Shock Trauma, Baltimore, MD. He later finished a fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute with James Andrews, well known sports medicine leader and gifted surgeon. Dr. Loeb has published various articles and presented at national meetings.
Dr. Loeb’s clinical interests include hip, knee and shoulder reconstruction and replacements. He has spent decades involved in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital quality improvements and chaired many hospital committees. Our goal is to treat patients as they would expect to be treated. We continue to have physician centered care and patient management. We believe our patients are best advertisement and we expect patients to be intimately involved in their care and recovery.

Elbow: Arthroscopy of the elbow and management of trauma and ligament injuries. Distal biceps reconstruction, nerve releases and transfers.
Shoulder: Shoulder arthroscopy and joint reconstructions. Complex rotator cuff reconstruction and revision and biceps injuries. Ligamentous stability and trauma related fractures.
Hip: Hip arthroscopy and joint preservation surgery. Arthroscopic gluteal injury repair and labral repair. Hip trauma and replacement surgery
Knee: Knee arthroscopy with meniscal repair and management, ligamentous stabilization/ reconstruction and ACL/ PCL/ LCL and multi-ligamentous reconstruction. Patellofemoral alignment or instability issues, cartilage preservation and knee replacement surgery. Bio-arthroplasty and OATS procedures.
